The two dated for one month in August 2019, after Cyrus’ divorce from Australian actor Liam Hemsworth and Carter’s separation from her husband Brody Jenner.
“What happened to me, basically just after Miley and I went our separate ways, I thought, ‘OK, my life’s just kinda going back to the way it normally was for me when I’m on my own’,” Carter said in an Instagram live with her The Hills: New Beginnings co-star Whitney Port.
