Anger and heartbreak has been sweeping across the nation due to the senseless killing of George Floyd, one of the many black Americans that has been the victim of police brutality. With all that’s going on in the world, it’s important to address racism—especially for parents raising the next generation. These conversations can be uncomfortable, but, to help, CNN and Sesame Street are partnering for another town hall focused on addressing racism.
The special, Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism will discuss how to talk to kids about racism, the protests and embracing diversity, as well as how to be more empathetic and understanding. The special will be moderated by Big Bird, CNN commentator Van Jones and CNN anchor and national correspondent Erica Hill.
