Sesame Street Will Help Explain COVID-19 to Kids In Special Town Hall

Post date:

Talking to children about COVID-19 can be really hard. Though they may feel scared and anxious and have an inkling that something is off, depending on their age they may not fully be able to understand why. Now, CNN and Sesame Street are partnering up to help.

On Saturday, April 25 at 9 am EST, CNN will be hosting a special town hall that focuses on COVID-19 and how it may be affecting education, anxiety, screen time and playdates. The special, called “The ABC’s of Covid 19: A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Parents” will last for 90 minutes and be moderated by Big Bird, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN chief medical correspondent, and Erica Hill, CNN anchor and national correspondent.

As part of the special, experts and other Sesame Street characters, including Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Rosita and Grover, will also answer questions submitted by families using this questionnaire.
